Convenient, not too big, not too small, but just right. They've got most everything you need if you want to avoid the hell we all know as walmart. Good meat prices.
Johns Supermarket is small, but is highly valued for "fast" groceries, variety, and service. The farthest parking space is as close as most supermarket's closest, thus being very efficient for those who are "on the go", and people with mobility concerns. The produce section is small to fair sized, but good, and is regularly attended & stocked with a good selection for fresh basic choices. Veggies & Greens are kept fresh with a misting system in a climate controlled open refrigerator. Nearby is a large condiment section. There is a good variety for the most common supermarket displays, some personal items, household, hardware, seasonal, and fair sized frozen sections with a good choice for veggies, prepared food, and a good ice cream selection. The store's front corner is stacked with a variety cased bottled water. There is also a good basic dairy section. One the stores main attractions is the selection of fresh meat at good prices. A good overview reminds the customers that "Johns" displays "The Best Meat In Town". On Saturdays they have pallet sales and move plenty of bulk meat. The bread / bakery section is mostly "factory bread" and over sugared high priced cakes, though there are some surprisingly really good breads in with the ordinary. There are large enough adequately stocked sections with lottery tickets, cigarettes, wine, and beer. Many items throughout the store are priced comparably at supermarket prices, though other items are convenience store prices. Employees are hard working, and mostly very helpful, polite, and friendly. There are some things I wish this store would stock to add to a more thorough shopping experience, but for a small supermarket, it is filled. Johns Supermarket is a good shopping experience for me, and is recommended.
It's sad when you can't get out of your car and make it to the front door without being approached by someone in the parking lot telling you how pretty you are and to reach inside his grocery bag. He only needed a couple of dollars, he said, like 10 times, as he's eating something, (of which I couldn't make out while spitting it all over me), and didn't want to take NO for an answer! To say I didn't feel safe, is an understatement!!!!!

Good prices, good meat choices. Tried their baked lemon pepper chicken. Excellent taste however it was so dried out it nearly choked me to death. First time . Will stick to fresh meats and cook myself.
I love, love, LOVE this supermarket! I just moved away from this town and will miss the great prices, great foods, products and friendly staff!
